The Balconvplaces Daphne's story in the contemporary world and hypothesizeswhatever might have happened should she not have asked herfather for help or the salvation of becoming a plant have come tocate“lwill become a tree for the second time in the dual floods oftime.” This piece is her whispering monologue before transformingnto a plant. In this rewriting, the urgent crisis has been infinitelydelaved, and she never seems to finish rejecting her pursuer beforener body is ravaged. Trapped in this moment. all violence tolerancereiection seem to be put off within this never-ending twilight.
